People from across Australia are being invited to complete a public survey that will help ensure broad input into a National Eating Disorders Strategy 2023-2033.
Responses to the public survey, organised by the National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC), will help refine key priorities for the National Strategy.
As a survey respondent, you will be asked about your perspectives on the system of care for eating disorders, including prevention, identification and response, treatment, and psychosocial support.
The survey is open to all Australians who are over the age of 15 and who have experience of an eating disorder – for instance, as someone with the illness, as a caregiver, as a friend, relative or colleague, or as a health professional.
As a member of the NEDC steering committee and the NEDC psychosocial working group, I join with national director, Dr Beth Shelton, in inviting and encouraging you to set aside 15 minutes to complete this survey. It is a great way to make your experience count in helping to ease the suffering of others.
In addition to completing the survey, your assistance in promoting the survey by sharing it through your networks and channels, including social media and newsletters will be greatly appreciated. The flyer comes with a QR code that can be printed or emailed.

Postscript: Hurry, don’t delay – the survey is open now, and closes on 7th February.
