Australian conference to show eating disorders the door

Many people in our community are affected by an eating disorder. Nobody chooses to have this illness, and parents are not to blame. The illnesses – anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and eating disorders not otherwise specified – cause havoc and pain in the most stable of families and everyone is affected. Most people don’t understand what is happening or what they can do to overcome this serious biologically based mental illness that can sweep into a perfectly stable home like a tsunami. For this reason and many others, I am delighted to share an update on our plans for the first Australian conference on eating disorders for families, carers and sufferers.
