There will be tears, for sure, at our At Home with Eating Disorders conference, but laughter, too. Lots of it. Laughter is good medicine; together with love, I firmly believe it is the best antidote to ‘Ed’. To help you make the most of this inaugural event, we have organised two evening social dates for our fast-approaching At Home With Eating Disorders Conference and I look forward to seeing you at both! Very possibly, we will laugh until we cry and this is good, too. At the very least, you will be inspired and make new friends.
‘Meet the Authors’ Social Night
Thursday 23 May, 6.00 – 7.30pm, Bar area, Level 1, The Watermark Hotel.
Join us at this ‘Meet the Authors’ social night, a prelude to the At Home with Eating Disorders conference. This informal, free event provides a wonderful opportunity for you to meet and chat with Australian and international authors of books about eating disorders. Book purchases and book signings will be available.Potential guest authors, who will speak briefly about their latest books, include:
Light finger foods will be served and the bar will be open for those who wish to purchase drinks. For those who wish to stay on and mingle some more, the hotel restaurant will be open for meals. Table bookings are available via the Watermark Hotel website. You are invited to relax with others over a 3 course conference dinner on Friday 24 May 2013, starting at 7.00pm. The dinner will be a fun and informal way to get to know others attending the conference.
Cost is $40 per person (fixed menu, drinks not included) and registration is essential. If you have not registered for the dinner yet but wish to do so, register through the conference website registration page http://www.athomewitheatingdisorders.com/registration.html before Friday 17 May.
